I am Chef Bruce Finch, the owner and executive chef of A Party For Your Palate. I have spent most of my adult life in the kitchen, learning, playing, and experimenting on my willing friends, before attending culinary school and becoming classically trained. I believe food is to be experienced, the better the food, the better the experience. Personally, I can't live with mediocre, or good enough. If we're going to eat, then let's really enjoy.
Through years of worldwide travel from my technology career, I was lucky enough to experience authentic cuisine in a vast number of countries and regions — realizing the importance of food culture, authenticity, and tradition. I was inspired to continue this authenticity in all my ethnic dishes using only the finest ingredients — even importing a number of items worldwide to assure that flavors and dishes remain consistent and true to the tradition. Add this to my love for traditional comfort food and the menu possibilities are endless.
After more than a decade, I have found that each event has its own nuance and personality, and the food should reflect and enhance each individual event. Over the years, I have been in guests' homes, creating any meal of the day; at the beach or lakeside parties; side by side with a winemaker doing wine-paired dinners; charitable cooking competitions; weddings; birthdays; holiday and themed parties; and the list goes on and on. There are menus for every occasion.

Having entered the restaurant industry at 17, I quickly developed a deep passion for food, wine, spirits, and the art of customer service. In my nearly 15 years in central coast restaurants, I have held every position — from busser to general manager — and my favorite focus has always been private parties. Working and hosting private events gives me the opportunity to take someone's special occasion and create an experience they will never forget!
Having the opportunity to join the company my father started, is a dream come true. Through his creativity and execution of authentic global cuisine, we're able to offer menus based off a wide variety of culinary styles and techniques. We also take advantage of the area we live in by partnering with countless local farmers, cheesemakers, fishermen, winemakers, and butchers to guarantee you the freshest, organic, and sustainable meal, while minimizing food waste and its effects on the environment.
I have an unrivaled desire to build a menu and create an experience that is right for you and your guests, and look forward to talking with you about how good food and amazing service can elevate your party to an experience your guests will never forget!

Complete custom menus for a feast any time of day and night, scratch made with the highest quality ingredients. We can serve 1 to 500 guests, from corporate offices and private homes, to the beach and poolside parties. Have more than 500? Let's talk!
Full-Service Catered Events
We take the hassle out of parties and party planning. Same great food and menus, but we can also provide rentals, servers, bartenders, photographers, DJ, and more. Enjoy your party for a change, and let us create the experience for you.
Private In-House Professional Chef
You decide on how many meals a day, how many days a week, and what kind of cuisine you would like, and we'll do everything in house and served fresh and ready. Even with minimal notice, we can plan your party with ease.
Wine-Paired Meals
We have years of experience working with a variety of wineries doing member parties, club shipment parties, and winemaker dinners — all with wine pairing at the forefront of the menu. While the food may shine, the wine is the real star of the show.
